The Hawthorne Experience is returns to The Screening Room for one of their last shows of the year! Born in Austin Texas, the Hawthorne Experience is a group of two brothers, William and Kenneth Belcher. The Belcher boys decided to start making music over the first summer of the pandemic in their parents’ spare bedroom in Austin. With a little bit of money they had saved up, they bought some recording equipment and hit the ground running, recording and releasing their first album, “February ’71”. The album represented overcoming a seemingly insurmountable challenge considering their lack of musical expertise. William had essentially just started playing guitar and Kenneth learned to play drums just for the album. While this passion project was a shot in the dark, it struck something deep within the two brothers and showed them their calling. Now, almost two years later, with one full length album, two singles and a summer EP on the way, the brothers are on a mission to turn this passion project into a career.
